Study Abroad

University of Liverpool
University of Liverpool

Each summer, faculty from SPIA and Franklin conduct a UGA-led study abroad program at Liverpool in Northwest England.  Students will be housed in single occupancy rooms at the University of Liverpool, located in the city center and just a few blocks away from parks, restaurants, the waterfront, historical sites, and, of course, a soccer stadium. The program fee includes lodging, some meals, a trip to mountains and castles in Wales and a visit with the local police force. Scheduled from late June through mid-July, there is no conflict with existing Maymester classes.  Open to any major, this program offers two courses that focus on crime and justice: one in political science and the other in sociology.  Both courses will "count"  towards the cj major.
